PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY WARNING!
Tampa Florida- The most common method that doctors recommend to treat PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY is with prescription drugs that may temporarily reduce symptoms. These drugs have names such as Gabapentin, Lyrica, Cymbalta, and Neurontin, and are primarily antidepressant or anti-seizure drugs. These drugs may cause the patient to feel uncomfortable and have a variety of harmful side effects.

PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY is a result of damage to the nerves often causing weakness, pain, numbness, tingling, and the most debilitating balance problems. This damage is commonly caused by a lack of blood flow to the nerves in the hands and feet which causes the nerves to begin to degenerate due to lack of nutrient flow.

As the blood vessels that surround the nerves become diseased they shrivel up which causes the nerves to not get the nutrients to continue to survive. When these nerves begin to “die” they cause balance problems, pain, numbness, tingling, burning, and many additional symptoms.

THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THAT DOCTORS TELL MANY PATIENTS TO “LIVE WITH IT!” or try the drugs which make patients feel uncomfortable. There is a facility right here in South Tampa that offers hope without taking those endless drugs with serious side effects. (See the free workshop at the end of this article for more information.)

In order to effectively treat neuropathy three factors must be determined.
1) What is the underlying cause?
2) How much nerve damage has been sustained?
NOTE: Once you have sustained 85% nerve loss, there is likely nothing that we can do.
3) How much treatment is required?

The treatment for PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY provided by Dr Parker D.C, has 5 main goals:
1) Increase blood flow to the nerves
2) Stimulate small fiber nerves
3) Decrease brain-based pain
4) Increase the energy to the nerves
5) Improve the nutrition to the nerves

We are very proud  to offer this treatment to patients in the Tampa Bay area.  Combined we use over $50,000 dollars in high technology equipment.  We use several therapies to help the nerves recover are Peripheral Neuropathy Rehab Therapy (PNRT), Cold Laser Therapy, Pulsed Electro Magnetic Therapy (PEMF), whole body vibration and nutritional/supplement counseling. Our PEMF machine is the most powerful one on the market and once you try it you will feel how it helps you heal!!

It helps pain management without drugs or surgery to get LASTING RESULTS! These therapies increase micro-circulation (blood flow to the capillary beds) and lymphatic flow. This treatment is the ONLY therapy that stimulates the nerve both electrically AND chemically, and we see amazing results! The amount of treatment needed to allow the nerves to fully recover varies from person to person and can only be determined after a detailed neurological evaluation. As long as the nerves have not sustained at least 85% damage, there is hope!
